香港電影金像奬協會（大會）今天（24日）公布「第四十屆香港電影金像奬」定於2022年7月17日（周日）假九龍灣國際展貿中心（九展）匯星舉行。

香港電影金像奬協會主席爾冬陞表示：「董事局基於香港政府日前公布將於四月起分階段放寬防疫措施，包括重新開放演藝場所等，全體成員經審慎考慮後，一致同意『第四十屆香港電影金像奬』定於7月17日晚上在九展匯星舉行。大會將繼續密切留意疫情發展及政府之相關公布，希望各方協作單位能協調配合，務求實體頒獎典禮能如期舉行。」

「第四十屆香港電影金像奬」十九個獎項的提名名單已於今年二月中揭曉，第二輪投票相繼於三月展開，而大會早前亦已公布此輪投票截止日期延至4月30日。爾冬陞主席呼籲各投票人繼續積極投票，身體力行支持香港電影金像奬。

Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) today announced the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at The Star Hall at The Kowloonbay International Trade and Exhibition Centre (KITEC).

Derek YEE Tung-sing, Chairman of Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) said, “In view of the Hong Kong government’s recent announcement on the relaxation of social distancing measures in phases from April, including the reopening of performance venues, members of the Board of Directors of HKFAA, after careful consideration, have unanimously agreed to host the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony in the evening of July 17, 2022 at The Star Hall, KITEC. HKFAA will continue to closely monitor the pandemic development and the government’s related announcements, and hope that all counterparts will also continue to work in full cooperation to stage the ceremony as scheduled.”

All 19 categories of nominations of the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards were unveiled in mid-February, and the second round of voting launched in March. HKFAA has also announced earlier to extend the deadline of voting of this round to April 30, 2022. Chairman YEE called on voters of the second round to render their continual support to Hong Kong Film Awards by casting their votes actively.
