「金像四十 不惑如初」——「香港電影金像奬」（大會）在第四十屆頒獎禮舉行前，邀得部份候選人參與拍攝本屆紀念特刊，今天（1日）大會率先發布「最佳新演員」及「新晉導演」候選人的獨立造型照，為迎接典禮來臨掀序。

「香港電影金像奬」「最佳新演員」及「新晉導演」獎項是為鼓勵及表揚業內新人而設。無獨有偶，五位榮獲提名「第40屆香港電影金像奬—最佳新演員」的候選人均各有兩項提名，實力非凡！其中王丹妮在《梅艷芳》一片演出一代歌后，梁仲恆在《媽媽的神奇小子》中飾演本港殘障奧運飛人蘇樺偉，兩人將分別角逐影后與影帝寶座。演繹「蘇樺偉少年版」的馮皓揚、在《濁水漂流》飾演患上失語症青年的柯煒林，以及在《殺出個黃昏》飾演未婚懷孕少女的鍾雪瑩則入圍競逐最佳男、女配角獎項，實在為本屆幾個幕前大獎得主誰屬增添話題。

一如以往，本屆「新晉導演」獎項角逐激烈，得主將可同時獲得「創意香港」及「電影發展基金」撥款港幣十萬元獎金以作獎勵。《濁水漂流》導演李駿碩繼《翠絲》及《除暴》導演劉浩良繼《衝鋒車》後，二人均再度獲得提名;另一位獲得提名的文念中曾四度奪得「最佳美術指導」及「最佳服裝造型設計」金像奬，今回就以拍攝許鞍華的紀錄片《好好拍電影》的導演身份首次入圍；此外，趙善恆以《一秒拳王》及陳健朗以《手捲煙》首爭「新晉導演」榮銜。

此外，大會同時公布7月17日晚上直播的「第40屆香港電影金像奬」節目將特設口述影像及手語傳譯，分別由「香港盲人輔導會」及「香港手語來自聾星」為視障、聾人及有需要人士服務，讓他們可以無障礙地欣賞本屆盛事，即時領略得獎者的感受和喜悅。

視障人士可首次透過免費電視頻道ViuTV 99台的第二聲道收聽現場直播之口述影像聲道，包括下午5時至7時之「紅地氈盛況」，以及晚上7時30分之頒獎典禮；聾人則可於晚上7時30分在ViuTV網絡平台（ViuTV流動應用程式及 ViuTV官方網頁https://viu.tv）收看頒獎典禮的即時手語傳譯畫面。

「第四十屆香港電影金像奬」的資助機構為創意香港及電影發展基金，大會指定電視台及電視製作伙伴ViuTV及MakerVille，大會指定香水、化妝及護膚品贊助商法國嬌蘭，以及場地贊助億京發展及策劃有限公司。



Prior to the awards presentation ceremony, Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) has invited award nominees of this year to take part in the photo shoot for the commemorative booklet of the 40th anniversary. As a prelude to the arrival of the grand occasion, HKFAA today revealed the styling portraits for “Best New Performer” and “Best New Director” nominees.

The award categories “Best New Performer” and “Best New Director” in the Hong Kong Film Awards aim to encourage and recognize the performance of new talents in the film industry. Coincidentally, the five nominees for “The 40th Hong Kong Film Awards – Best New Performer” are all nominated for two awards this year, displaying their extraordinary strength and talent. Louise WONG (王丹妮) playing the role of legendary Queen of Pop Anita MUI Yim-fong in the biopic Anita《梅艷芳》, and LEUNG Chung-hang (梁仲恆) acting as Hong Kong Paralympian gold medal runner William SO Wa-wai in Zero to Hero《媽媽的神奇小子》, have gained nominations for “Best Actress” and “Best Actor” Awards, respectively. FUNG Ho-yeung (馮皓揚) who acted in Zero to Hero as “young William So Wa-wai”; Will OR (柯煒林) who performed a youngster with aphasia in Drifting《濁水漂流》; and CHUNG Suet-ying (鍾雪瑩) who played an unmarried pregnant teenager in Time《殺出個黃昏》are also nominated for “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best Supporting Actress” awards. Their double nominations have become an interesting topic of discussion on who will win these key trophies this year.

The competition for the “Best New Director” Award is keen as in the past. The winner will be awarded cash prize of HKD100,000 offered by CreateHK and The Film Development Fund in recognition of the awardee’s effort. Director Jun LI (李駿碩) received another nomination for Drifting since his film debut with Tracey《翠絲》; while LAU Ho-leung (劉浩良), director of Two Thumbs Up《衝鋒車》, is nominated for Caught in Time《除暴》this year. The four-time Film Awards winner for “Best Art Direction” and “Best Costume Design” MAN Lim-chung (文念中) is nominated as director for the first time for his documentary film “Keep Rolling” 《好好拍電影》about the life and work of celebrated filmmaker Ann HUI. CHIU Sin-hang (趙善恆), director of One Second Champion 《一秒拳王》and CHAN Kin-long (陳健朗), director of Hand Rolled Cigarette《手捲煙》, also made their debuts in the competition for the title of “Best New Director”.

  Moreover, HKFAA announced audio description and sign language interpretation services, provided by The Hong Kong Society for the Blind and HKSL From Deaf Star, respectively are available for the live telecast of the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards in 17 July evening. These services enable the visually impaired, and people who are Deaf or hard of hearing to experience the live presentation ceremony this year, and to share the excitement and joyful moments of the award winners in real-time.

Audio descriptions for Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony is introduced for the very first time this year. The service will be available on the second audio track of free-to-air ViuTV Channel No. 99 for the livestream of the pre-event “Red Carpet Show” from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, as well as the live broadcast of the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony starting 7:30pm. Live sign language interpretation services will be provided for the Awards Presentation Ceremony on ViuTV Online Platform (ViuTV mobile app and ViuTV official website: https://viu.tv) commencing from 7:30pm.
