香港電影工作者的年度業界盛事「第四十一屆香港電影金像奬」頒獎典禮(金像奬)將於4月16日重返香港文化中心隆重舉行，屆時中外及本地影壇精英聚首一堂，衣香鬢影，星光熠熠。「香港電影金像奬協會」（大會）將於頒獎典禮上頒發十九項大獎，表揚去年優秀的本港電影及表現超卓的業界精英，並頒發最高榮譽獎項「終身成就奬」予胡楓先生，及頒發「專業精神奬」予兩位資深影評人羅卡先生及石琪先生，表彰他們為香港電影界貢獻超過半世紀，至今依然熱心投入，敬業樂業精神為後輩典範。
「金像奬」製作團隊已經進駐香港文化中心為4月16日盛事作最後準備，大會今日（13日）特別在香港文化中心舉行拜神儀式，香港電影金像獎主席爾冬陞與兩位副主席莊澄和文雋，以及董事局成員代表梁李少霞、余安安、錢嘉樂、周國忠、林淑賢、麥振鴻及韋啟良等均親臨參與儀式，祈求盛事順利舉行。將於頒獎典禮當晚為大會主持社交平台直播的鄧月平及鍾雪瑩，以及大會指定電視台及電視製作伙伴香港電視娛樂有限公司ViuTV總經理鍾廣德和MakerVille行政總裁魯庭暉亦到場支持。
香港電影金像獎主席爾冬陞在儀式後表示：「多年來金像獎及本地電影業界與香港社會同行，過去三年金像奬均在新冠疫情肆虐下幾經波折方舉行；幸好今年疫情退卻，社會亦逐步復常，第四十一屆金像奬的籌備工作得以全面有序進行，大會上下對此項年度國際華語影壇盛事再度隆重舉行均充滿信心。」金像奬大會已於二月初的記者會公布本屆頒獎典禮回歸香港文化中心大劇院舉行，並宣布典禮前的活動焦點「紅地氈」將改於香港文化中心海濱長廊大樓梯外、以維多利亞港美景為背景的廣場盛大舉行。本屆榮獲提名的候選人及頒獎嘉賓屆時將在「紅地氈」亮相，接受大會司儀及傳媒訪問及拍照。
大會今日同時公布頒獎典禮表演環節，兩位唱作歌手林家謙及Serrini與兩位大會音樂總監于逸堯及高佬（Goro Wong）攜手合作，從選取曲目、編排音樂及至籌備演出已準備了三個月。他們的盛大表演，將為晚會隆重掀起序幕。此外，歌手洪家豪、Ansonbean、Winka@Collar、姜濤、鄭秀文及王菀之(排名按大會提名名單)等候選「最佳原創電影歌曲」的主唱者亦會現場獻唱入圍電影主題曲。

- 金像獎舉行前24小時，大會特地在香港文化中心海濱長廊大樓梯廣場架設廣角鏡頭直擊紅地氈及現場環境實況，於「香港電影金像獎協會」Facebook專頁及 YouTube平台直播。
4月16日
- 大會社交平台主持陳海寧、鄧月平及鍾雪瑩於下午4時30分至晚上7時駐守紅地氈訪問候選人及與會嘉賓，而晚上7時30分至晚上10時30分頒獎典禮進行期間，她們將直擊後台實況，追訪得獎人及嘉賓。以上訪問將在她們各自的IG帳戶 (陳海寧：Isabella@isabellaaaaa，鄧月平@lllarine，鍾雪: @chungsaid）直播。

香港免費電視頻道ViuTV 99台將於4月16日下午4時30分至晚上7時直播「紅地氈盛況」，並於晚上7時30分獨家現場直播「第四十一屆香港電影金像奬」，屆時更在第二聲道特設口述影像聲道，廣大觀眾可一睹典禮盛況和見證各大獎項得主誕生。
此外，ViuTV亦將安排其網絡平台（ViuTV流動應用程式及 ViuTV官方網頁https://viu.tv）同步直播「第四十一屆香港電影金像奬」，並透過「一齊睇」的功能選項，從下午4時30分開始為「紅地氈盛況」提供口述影像聲道，而晚上7時30分直播頒獎典禮時，則同時提供口述影像聲道及手語傳譯。有需要人士將可無障礙地欣賞本屆金像奬盛事，即時領略得獎者的感受和喜悅。

The 41st Hong Kong Film Awards, a prestigious and iconic annual event for the local film industry, will return to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 16th April 2023. Esteemed professionals from both local and international film industries will gather together at this star-studded night of celebration and recognition. The organizer, the Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) will announce the winners of the 19 award categories in the gala. In addition to recognizing the outstanding achievements of filmmakers and talents in the year of 2022, the most honourable “Lifetime Achievement Award” will be presented to the 91-year-old veteran actor Mr. Bowie Woo; and the “Professional Achievements Award”, will be presented to two experienced film critics, Mr. Law Kar and Mr. Sek Kei in recognition of their contributions to the Hong Kong film industry for over half a century. They set the role models of unwavering dedication and professionalism for the young generations in the industry.
The production team of the Hong Kong Film Awards has moved into the Hong Kong Cultural Centre to make final preparations for the glamourous event. HKFAA conducted a worship ritual today where members of the Board of Directors, led by chairman Derek YEE Tung Sing; deputy chairman John CHONG and Manfred WONG; directors Vicky LEUNG LEE Shiu Ha, Candice YU, CHIN Ka Lok, Tony CHOW Kwok Chung, Debbie LAM, MAK Chun Hung and Tomy WAI; made their presence and prayed for the success for the gala event. Young talents Larine TANG and CHUNG Suet-ying, the HKFAA’s hosts of the event on social media platforms; Clement CHUNG, General Manager of HK Television Entertainment Company Limited (ViuTV); as well as Lofai LO, CEO of MakerVille Company Limited also attended the event to render their support.
Chairman Derek YEE Tung Sing stated after the event, “HKFAA and the local film industry have moved alongside the Hong Kong community for years. Under the persistent COVID-19 pandemic in the past three years, the HKFA presentation ceremony were proceeded amid setbacks and interruptions. As the pandemic situation is receding and the society progressing along the path to normalcy, we appreciated that the preparations for the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards are well in progress in an orderly manner. All HKFAA fellows are confident that this iconic international Chinese-language film awards ceremony will be held with resounding success.” HKFAA has announced at the press conference in February that this year's award presentation ceremony will return to the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and revealed the glittering “Red Carpet” will grandly take place at the Harbourfront Grand Staircase of the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Award nominees and presenters attending the gala will make their stunning walk at the “Red Carpet” and be interviewed by masters of the ceremony and media representatives with the picturesque skyline of the Victoria Harbour as the backdrop.
HKFAA also released today the programme details for the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards. Singer-songwriters Terrence LAM and SERRINI will be the guest performers staging a spectacular musical show to kick-off this year’s award presentation ceremony. For this opening performance, they have worked closely with two music directors YU Yat Yiu and Goro WONG on songs selection, music arrangements and show execution in the past three months. Moreover, singers HUNG Ka Ho, Ansonbean, Winka@Collar, KEUNG To, Sammi CHENG and Ivana WONG (sequence according to the nomination list of HKFAA) who are nominated for “Best Original Film Song” will sing their respective movie theme songs on stage.
HKFAA has arranged livestreaming on and provide real-time coverage of the ceremony to social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Details of the arrangement are as follows:
15th April 2023 (Starting from 4:30pm)
- 24 hours prior to the commence of the Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony, a wide-angle camera will be set up at the Harbourfront Grand Staircase of the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre to provide pre-event live broadcast of the “Red Carpet” and the surroundings. The live stream will be available on both the official Facebook fans page and YouTube channel of the HKFAA.

- The HKFAA’s hosts of the event on social media platforms, including Isabella CHAN, Larine TANG and CHUNG Suet Ying, will conduct interviews with attending nominees and guests at the “Red Carpet” from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. During the awards presentation ceremony from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm, these hosts will provide backstage coverage and interview the award winners instantaneously . These interviews will be live-streamed on their respective Instagram accounts (Isabella@isabellaaaa; Tang Yuet Ping@lllarine; Chung Suet Ying@chungsaid).
- Starting from 7:30pm, HKFAA will livestream on YouTube the media interviews of the winners at the media center to share their feelings and happiness.
- The Hong Kong Film Awards' Instagram account will post Instagram Stories and live updates on the latest happenings on the “Red Carpet” from time to time during the event.
Free-to-air ViuTV Channel No.99 will provide exclusive live broadcast of the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards pre-event “Red Carpet” from 4:30pm to 7:00pm, and the awards presentation ceremony starting from 7:30pm. Audio description service will be available on the second audio track for the livestreams of both events. Audiences will be able to enjoy the glamourous affair and witness the unveiling of award winners.
ViuTV Online Platform (ViuTV mobile app and ViuTV official website: https://viu.tv) will also provide audio description service throughout the “Red Carpet” and the awards presentation ceremony, while live sign language interpretation service will be available starting from 7:30pm. Those in need of these services will be able to experience the live presentation ceremony and share the excitement and joyful moments of the award winners in real-time.
Moreover, HKFAA has made special arrangements for fans in Singapore and Malaysia to watch the live broadcast of the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards including “Red Carpet” via pay television platforms in both countries. In Singapore, the live broadcast will air on CM+ on Singtel TV and Hub E City on StarHub; while in Malaysia, the live broadcast is available on both Astro and Unifi TV of Celestial Movies.
